90-Day Generosity Challenge

We concluded our first ever giving campaign as a church this past year and it could not have gone any better!

We called the campaign and associated sermon series Count On It, because God has promises regarding finances we can count on. He promises peace and provision – more than enough provision. But the reality is a lot of Christians are not experiencing either of these promises in their finances. Why not??

Well there may be many reasons like spending habits and carrying debt. But the bottom line is those promises are attached to principles. Or you could say promises come through a process. The principle is trust and the process is giving. Over and over again, God makes that abundantly clear. (Malachi 3:10-12, Prov 3:5-10, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-11).

We don’t want anything to stand in your way from experiencing those promises so we want to do everything in our power to remove every roadblock. One of the things we are doing walking with you step-by-step to develop a budget. This at-your-own-pace video series already helped dozens of people give, save and spend more than they thought they could. Sign up here.

The other is a 90-Day-Generosity-Challenge that comes with a money-back guarantee. That’s what this blog is about. So let me explain how it works…

God told us how to win with money – budget, save, invest, give. He who created and governs the earth has set these principles in the foundations. Applying them works. Financial stability is simply a matter of listening to these principles and choosing whether to obey them or not. And every financial planner will agree with God’s principles for the sake of prosperity, except for one.

Giving the first 10% of you income to His Church every month.

That’s because this is one is not about prosperity, it’s about peace. I don’t know about you, but I want peace before I want prosperity. Prosperity without peace is pointless. It doesn’t matter how big your savings account gets or how many vacation homes you rent, they can’t wrap their arms around your heart and soul. Prosperity cannot provide me peace.

But financial peace is not a mystery, it’s simply a matter of faith. Giving first is the key to peace because it’s a matter of worship – trusting Him with the most powerful thing in your life. What’s first is what we prioritize. What’s first is what has our heart.

Giving leftovers and/or sporadically will not accomplish the same thing. Giving first is how you direct your heart to trusting God. What gets paid first is what we believe we can’t live without. If Starbucks comes first (I understand, often I feel I need coffee more than Jesus), if Target comes first, if Visa comes first, you’re telling your heart you can’t live without those things. And you and I both know that’s not true. The truth is you can’t live without God. So tell that to your heart by giving first. And then watch Him come through. You’ll never be the same.

So we invite you to take the 90-Day-Generosity-Challenge.
The conditions are simple: give God your FIRST ten percent over the next 90 days and if he doesn’t provide all your needs, Ignition Church will give every penny back to you. No questions asked.

That’s right, if you are choosing to tithe to Ignition for the first time, we will keep track of everything you give for 90 days. And if at the end of that time, you feel you have not been provided for, we will fully refund you all that you have given.

I know, it may sound gimmicky, but we don’t care how it looks if it helps you take a step of trusting God. It will all be worth it to us.
